2025 Biostimulants World Congress

2025 Biostimulants World Congress
Promisol attends the World Congress of Biostimulants in Barcelona

From December 1st to 4th, we attended the World Biostimulants Congress 2025 in Barcelona. This event brought together more than 1,500 professionals and highlighted the dynamism of the sector. The opening session also featured the presentation of the Global Biostimulants Market Report 2025, which estimates the market's value at $4.47 billion (2024) and forecasts a compound annual growth rate of 9.9% through 2030.

In this context, we are sharing the results of our biostimulant Cytolan Stress in horticultural crops. The most relevant finding is that its effectiveness is particularly noticeable when plants face combined stresses, specifically water and salinity, where we observed a more consistent response than in situations of water or salinity stress alone. This approach is consistent with our research: in addition to studying single stress conditions, we design trials focused on real-world field situations, where crops often face multiple simultaneous stress factors.

Our innovation strategy is based on well-identified and characterized natural molecules, prioritizing formulations with a defined composition over heterogeneous matrices. This allows us to move towards more reproducible and traceable solutions with a better-understood mode of action, in line with current market and farmer demands.
