46% Potassium salt of vegetable fatty acids
Product only for export, not suitable for sale as a fertilizer product in the EU
Potassium soap is a salt of fatty acids, of vegetable origin. It is widely used as a humectant and has a tendency to enhance the effect of other phytosanitary products. It is a product of natural origin that acts by contact, facilitating the weakening of the exoskeleton of soft shell insects chitin (thrips, aphid, whitefly, etc.) by destabilization of the lipophilic fraction of cell membranes, causing the evacuation of material cellular to the outside and the death of these cells by dehydration. It is thanks to this effect that it can have bactericidal and fungicidal properties. As for insects, it contributes to hindering their breathing by obstructing the spiracles. Thanks to its action modes, resistance can not be created. It is not persistent in the environment, generating carbonates and potassium. It is not phytotoxic for the plant and leaves no residue in the fruits, so that the safety time in relation to ingestion is zero.
