It is thanks to this effect that it can have bactericidal and fungicidal properties. As for insects, it contributes to hindering their breathing by obstructing the spiracles. Thanks to its action modes, resistance can not be created. It is not persistent in the environment, generating carbonates and potassium. It is not phytotoxic for the plant and leaves no residue in the fruits, so that the safety time in relation to ingestion is zero.
